Would you like to make a real difference in the community, helping and supporting people, while gaining invaluable skills and experience? Are you keen to keep mentally active, work in a team and feel like you're doing something really worthwhile? Have you ever thought about volunteering for Citizens Advice?
Please come along to this friendly, informative event so they can give you the lowdown! Citizens Advice are now looking for new volunteer advisers to join them.
Come along to this Open Day for tea and coffee, a presentation from staff and volunteers who will tell you all about what it's like volunteering for them, a lowdown on the sort of role you'll be working in, the office environment, the training and support you'll receive, and the time commitment they would be looking for. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions.
The presentation will end by 12pm, but if you'd like to have an interview for one of the roles in the afternoon, you can. The following slots are available:
12.15pm-12.45pm (two slots available)
1pm-1.30pm (two slots available)
1.45pm-2.15pm (two slots available)
Interview slots can be booked in advance here. If you'd rather apply online and have an interview after the event, you can.
Please note, they welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and with a huge range of experience, and they are registered as a Disability Confident employer. They ask that volunteers are over 18 years of age, have a working knowledge of computers, and are able to research and understand complex information, and convey it clearly to clients.
