Growing New Roots is an 8-week, therapeutic nature-based group for adults with a mental health condition. The project is fully funded and runs in partnership with the National Trust. The group itself is delivered by experienced and trained facilitators.

The group includes a range of outdoor activities designed to improve mental well-being, such as guided walks, foraging, mindfulness and conservation. It is for adults living in the wider Shoreham – Southwick – Portslade area who would most benefit from time in nature e.g. those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress or another mental health diagnosis.

A free minibus is provided from Shoreham train Station.

Their taster session is: Friday 24th May 2024 11am – 2pm, pick up at 10.30am.

After attending the taster, applicants can then apply to join their 8-week group which runs Friday 7th June 2024  – Friday 26th July 2024 (8 sessions).

Further information and application form are here.

They accept both professional and self-referrals; apply now to reserve a space.
